Celtamericana touring UK & Ireland

Banda celtamericana has finished an european tour centered around Britain & Ireland and sponsored by a Dirac grant from the chilean ministry of foreign affaires. During this trip the band did perform at 12 schools in Britain, doing miniconcerts and workshops for primary, prep and high schools.

Besides english schools the band did have 6 more formal concerts in England around Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Lancashire. While in Ireland the band was at sessions at the Cobblestone's Bar of Dublin and at pubs in Rostrevor while the band was taking part of the Fiddle's Green Festival, where besides some workshops it ended opening a night concert for the band Flook. At the end of the tour while visiting Scotland, the band stayed at Edinburgh where besides sessions at some pubs it opened a special night for a Peña at the spanish Tapas Tree basement leaded by Voces del Sur folk band.
Thanks to Joe Stead, BCA agent in England who helped the band a lot in this wonderful travel. Remember to visit his page on http://www.joestead.com/
