Chilean irish sessions et al.

Sessions are part of the folk music traditions partially hidden in the chilean cities.... For the old time/irish sessions. "We meet every third Saturday of the month at the Club de Jazz de Santiago from 7 PM to 9 PM.Music played: traditional Irish music, basically jigs, reels and polkas.Level: Intermediate.Dancers are welcome - there is a dance board.The session is open, however there is a group of six core musicians.Instruments played: Uillean pipes, tin whistle, fiddle, bodhran, Irish flute, acustic guitar, mandolin ocasionally.All musicians interested in Irish Traditional Music are welcome. Please know your tunes by heart. A list of most frequently played tunes will be posted in the Club de Jazz website the week before.Anybody interested in being part of a mailing list should contact vbachelet@medwave.cl " .
